Technologies for firefighters, from head to toe

    GORE-TEX Professional Fabrics offers a wide range of technologies for all firefighting situations today - from firefighting to technical assistance and rescue services. These ensure a high level of protection, comfort and reliability of personal protective equipment from head to toe.

    The following technologies were tested in simulated operational scenarios at the European Fire Service Media Event at the FeurReX Center for Real Fire Training:

    1. GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® EXTRAGUARD outer fabric technology for innovative firefighter boots (available since June 2, 2025)
    2. GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® technology: Proven protective clothing with high breathability and thermal protection – already in use by fire departments such as the Munich Airport Fire Department.
    3. GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® Stretch technology: Protective clothing for technical rescue personnel with a focus on freedom of movement and comfort (market launch in Scandinavia in 2024).
