How It Works

GORE-TEX PYRAD® technology offers waterproof, windproof, and breathable heat and flame protection that is inherent to the fabric which is durable for the life of the product. It is not a flame resistant (FR) chemical treatment or coating and does not wear off over time. The technology can be universally designed with various textiles, such as nylons or polyesters, to provide FR performance while maintaining the desirable characteristics like abrasion resistance, lightweight, quick dry re-dry, colorfastness and printability.

Ideal for

Hard-shell Jacket & Pants, Immersion Protective Garments, Gloves, Tents/Shelters, Insulated Windproof Garments, and other gear that would require FR protection.
For FR applications that require waterproof, windproof, breathable protection for: fuel handlers’ suits, aviation and mounted applications (combat vehicle crewmen, flight deck personnel, and aircraft maintainers, etc.).
